Printers

The till prints receipts itself on a network (Wi-Fi / Ethernet) receipt printer, even offline. USB and Bluetooth printers print through TitanX Print on a PC or Android device in the shop.

Will not work

  • Generic Bluetooth Classic printers — Apple does not allow apps to use them. Choose a network, Bluetooth LE or AirPrint printer.

TitanX Print

Prints receipts, kitchen orders and A4 invoices from TitanX to the printers in your shop or office.

Windows

Unzip it to a folder of its own and run titanx_print.exe. Windows may say the publisher is unknown — choose More info, then Run anyway. Then pair it from Settings → Printers.

Pairing a device

  1. Install the app on the device.
  2. In TitanX on the web, open Settings → Printers for a print station, or Settings → Tills for a till, and add the device. TitanX shows an 8-digit code and a QR code.
  3. Open the app, enter your TitanX address and the code. The device creates its own signing key; TitanX only ever holds the public half.
  4. Print a test page and confirm what came out. TitanX will not guess, because the first customer receipt should not be the one that comes out wrong.

Working offline (TitanX POS)

The till keeps selling cash sales with no internet. It takes cash, card on your own terminal and M-PAiSA — for card and M-PAiSA the cashier types the approval code or transaction ID, so each one can be checked against the terminal's settlement and the M-PAiSA report. An offline receipt carries a provisional number such as OFF-AB12CD34-000042; when the till reconnects the sale becomes an invoice in TitanX, and both numbers stay searchable.

Keeping it safe

  • Everything a till stores is encrypted on the device.
  • A lost or stolen device can be switched off from TitanX on the web; it stops working the next time it connects.
  • Nothing is deleted from a till until TitanX has confirmed, on a second check, that it holds the same sale.
